Ethical Content-Gathering for Public Communications

These institutional guidelines aim to ensure we treat people with dignity, respect and care when gathering content for public communications. These guidelines help define the ethical standard required when collecting and choosing content, how and when to apply informed consent, technical requirements in post-production and the proper storage of digital files. This document was finalised in June 2024, in accordance with best practice standards in the humanitarian sector at this time.
