Example Rules for Fighters

ref. 4682.01
The following list provides a concise set of international humanitarian law (IHL) rules that armed groups can integrate into their operational guidance as a minimum standard. These rules are not an exhaustive list of the IHL rules that apply to armed groups. In addition to other IHL rules, groups must also take account of rules from other bodies of law, including human rights law, and other international standards and ethics, when drafting operational guidance.
